Saturday - Band Cancelled
Due to change of venue and the event moving outside we have reluctantly decided to cancel the band for Saturday.
It wasn't an easy decision but it seemed it needed to be done. Looking at the weather forecast - partly cloudy, high of 58 with 9mph wind. An hour by hour break down it would be in the lower 50's when we setup and start playing and will not hit a high 58 until 1pm after we're done playing.
I felt as though it would be very difficult to pull off an outdoor event and we tried to look at alternatives. There are no sides or heaters to the shelter. It seemed to be the best conclusion to cancel with the available information.

Newest member of HRB on Keyboards
We are happy to welcome our newest member Bill Louden on keyboard. He's performed regularly with The Genkin Philharmonic and Tango, Etc. and teaches piano, guitar, and composition lessons in the Buffalo area. We will miss James while he is on an indefinite leave of absence however, we are excited to have Bill aboard!

This Sunday we will performing at the 10th Annual Carly's Crossing. The event to help raise funds for pediatric cancer research as well as children's short term needs.

The Town of Elma and it’s Pumpkin Festival Committee are putting the final touches on this years 8th Annual Festival, scheduled for October 1st from 1:00-4:00PM at the Village Green
The cooperation of many volunteers in the community has made this an annual event enjoyed by Elma’s residents. This years festival plans to be an event designed for children, including face painting, live music, pumpkin carving, pie contest, pumpkin people contest, hayrides and a magician. The Southtowns Wood Carvers will be creating those delightful pumpkin faces.
Last year’s popularity of the pumpkin people contest has the committee excited to do it again this year. Join the fun of creating a pumpkin person by entering the contest using the form below. Also the festival will have a pie baking contest. The contest is open to Elma residents only, children or adults. Entry forms are below or may be obtained at the Town Hall.
The committee reminds you to mark your calendar for this free event. Hot chili from Santino’s Pizza Shack, and Hot Dogs compliments of the Elma Fire Company will be available.
Pumpkins are free to only children until gone.

Beach Party - Sun, August 14th
Join the Humphrey Road Band at the 9th Annual Carly's Crossing for live music, food and fun for all ages. The Humphrey Road Band will be performing at Gallagher (Small Buffalo Boat Harbor) from 8:30am-11:30am. The event starts at 7:30am and the party continues until 3:30pm.
The Humphrey Road Band is a fun, energetic and entertaining rock, motown, Psychedelic & Blues band drawing its songs from the ‘60s and ‘70s. They perform many inspiring and popular songs that are not covered by mainstream Buffalo musicians, including: Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Vanilla Fudge, Eric Clapton, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Del Shannon, The Yardbirds, James Gang, Rolling Stones and more. Their objective -- to entertain -- is brought to life with quality music and a balanced blend of seasoned and youthful musicians. As a result, their fan base and events range from High School Graduation Parties, 40th Birthday Parties, Bowling Banquets, Weddings, Festivals, Bar Events and more!
Carly’s Crossing is an open water swim to raise money for cancer research and physicians to better understand the causes of childhood cancers and discover new methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Donations also fund support programs such as holiday parties, game nights, spa parties, and much more that will help meet the emotional and social needs of Roswell Park’s youngest patients.
It is the Humphrey Road Band's third consecutive year performing at the event. Last year’s event brought over 300 in participants, hundreds of other volunteers and raised over $90,000 towards pediatric cancer research and patient care programs at Roswell Park. The event features three different course options: 600-yard non-competitive swim, 1-mile non-competitive swim and a 1-mile competitive (timed) swim. Food and drinks are available for purchase at the event along with a variety of raffles and games.
